After Forever

A week ago Jelmer, Joachim, Joris, Tamar and I went to see After Forever in Tivoli, Utrecht. After the support act Xystus and a small break, After Forever appeared on stage. The lighting rocked, but the sound wasn’t that great, especially not from the balcony where we were standing. I was expecting more old songs, but they mainly played songs from their (at that time) yet to be released album, so I didn’t know the songs very well yet. It made the old songs sound all the better, though. I especially liked the live zither intro of My Pledge Of Allegiance: the mood, the lighting, the ambience and the beautiful music. The weird lighting during the breaks made the audience’s black clothes purplish, and my camera intensified that to reddish. Interesting.

Hoi Martijn, You made some very good pictures, especially from Floor of course. I also like the picture of the colored lamps. Nice to see this all again.
