First impression
Today, with the help of my parents and Peter, I moved into my new home: a single room in Peter’s apartment in the center of Utrecht. I am usually reasonably pessimistic about my first days, and especially the first night, so what follows is my list of complaints. Not to worry — the same happened to me in Braga, and I’m sure I will be more optimistic after a few days.
- My room is on the top floor and with weather like today’s it’s very, very hot.
- The shower turns ice cold after three minutes of use.
- The floorboards make a lot of noise. Just tiptoeing around, with socks on, already makes a lot of noise, simply because I put weight on them. And Peter complains about that.
So, let’s give it a few more days and see what I think then, eh?
Comments
Be careful with taking a girlfriend home and a floor like yours…
Exactly.
Just waking up makes noise.

2 is not that bad (esp. in summer), plus it solves nr 1. For 3, fluffy carpet!
You’re so optimistic!
