First impression

Today, with the help of my parents and Peter, I moved into my new home: a single room in Peter’s apartment in the center of Utrecht. I am usually reasonably pessimistic about my first days, and especially the first night, so what follows is my list of complaints. Not to worry — the same happened to me in Braga, and I’m sure I will be more optimistic after a few days.

  1. My room is on the top floor and with weather like today’s it’s very, very hot.
  2. The shower turns ice cold after three minutes of use.
  3. The floorboards make a lot of noise. Just tiptoeing around, with socks on, already makes a lot of noise, simply because I put weight on them. And Peter complains about that.

So, let’s give it a few more days and see what I think then, eh? :-)

2 is not that bad (esp. in summer), plus it solves nr 1. For 3, fluffy carpet!
