Slowly people are leaving back home, probably to be never seen again.

Tuesday night I said goodbye to Giedre, Lina and Laurynas; they went back to Lithuania yesterday. We went to a café nearby to drink something, then some tight hugs and a few tears later I was walking to Sabina’s, together with Marc and Oana. Many people there. Very smoky. Had a few chats, then said goodbye to Sabina (went back to Poland, via Santiago) and Carmen (going back to Antwerp, Belgium tomorrow, I think).

Only two weeks left myself. It’s going to be tough.

Yesterday Tita came over and together with Marc and Oana we made a pasta salad with a self-made pesto sauce (simply pesto mixed with some cream to make it lighter), red and green paprika, salami, cheese and slices of black olives. Quite tasty. I have some left in my fridge for tonight, enough for at least two people. So if anybody wants, give me a ring.

While Holland is covered with a thick layer of snow, the weather here is sunny and warm enough to be able to walk outside without a coat. Tonight I’m going to visit Nerea; she needs some cheering up, I think. Then probably to Bar do Lip; it’s been a long while since I last went there.

The plan to see The Perfume (see my previous post) didn’t work out; we took the 25-minute trip to the cinema only to find it was closed; apparently they only play midnight movies on Fridays and Saturdays. The Irish pub was closed as well, so we went back home and instead saw Eurotrip, which Marc and Oana hadn’t seen yet and I didn’t mind seeing again. So now the plan is to see The Perfume tomorrow night. Vamos ver.

Handed in my OWL project for Processamento Estruturado de Documentos the other day. Two more projects to go. We’re getting there. I’m missing the first three weeks of the third quarter back in Utrecht; I will have some catching up to do when I get back.

Take care, everyone.

As Richard Bach once said, “Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments
or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends…” =)

Ja, I must concur that dinner the other night was indeed quite yummy! You and Marc deffo impressed with your cooking skills.

Hope you enjoy ‘O Perfume’ and parabéns pelas tuas notas, puter genius =)
