Greetings from Holland
Greetings from Holland! I arrived last Thursday night, first taking a plane from Porto to Mallorca, then to Amsterdam. The first flight was awesome: I got to see the sunset from the plane. It was amazing. The recent storm in Holland had caused some chaos there, and the remaining wind gave the pilot of the second flight something to do: the last part was rather rocky and not very pleasant. But I arrived safely and my parents were waiting for me, to take me home.
One of the results of the storm was the falling of a crane over one of Utrecht University’s buildings, while my sister was 100 metres away, inside the building. Scary stuff.
Yesterday we celebrated Eljakim IT‘s 10 year birthday. Elizabeth, my submission for the Robocode contest, ended up 5th out of 6. Then we went out for dinner at Memories of China in Hollandse Rading. I had a great time, talking to friends and colleagues I hadn’t seen in a while. Afterwards, Bernard dropped Jaap and me off at home.
Today my grandparents came over for Tamar’s birthday. I got to give my sisters the two books I bought last week: As Aventuras de Pinóquio by Carlo Collodi and Roberto Innocenti for Tamar, and Patinar Com Os Ursos by Andrew Breakspeare for Esther. Gives them something to do. Then we had pizza in Il Pozzo in Utrecht. Yummy.
On Tuesday I’m going back to Braga.
P.S. Thanks for the correction, Tita. =)
Pas de problème.
*Loving* that pic!! x
I’m glad. =)
