Knife of Dreams
An easy day, sleeping in from the late night yesterday. Most of it was spent on the residence’s bar’s balcony reading my book (Knife of Dreams, book 11 of the Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan). Before dinner in the residence’s canteen, I played some table football with Africans. They were lightning fast, shouting things all the time; I hadn’t laughed that hard in a long while. =) After dinner Laurynas, Lina (both from Lithuania) and I went to Braga centre and sat by the fountain for a while. It was beautifully illuminated with red, green and blue lamps. I think the fountain has 20-30 spouts, individually turning on and off, creating a nice harmonious effect. Then we walked around a bit, looking for a nice bar, but for some reason most bars seem to be frequented by the elderly only.
Finally we found a bar in some kind of glass house with mostly students in it, drinking and talking. I ordered some lime cocktail (I forget the name), then later a hot chocolate (I like them better in Holland).
Random fact of the day: most bars in Portugal use cold TL-lights instead of atmospheric warm light.
